As a fur parent, one of the best things you can do for your dog is make homemade treats! Not only are they healthy, but they’re also a great way to show your furry friend how much you care. And the best part is that they only take 30 minutes to make. Here are some of 5 treats ideas.
1. Quick & Easy Peanut Butter Treats / Puppy Leaks
My dog loves peanut butter just as much I do, so for those who have pets that love their added sweetness this easy recipe will be a hit! All you need are two cups of flour and 1/2 cup creamy goodness (peanut butter), plus eggs to make the dough. Mix together until combined then add enough water until it becomes fingers-worthable consistency before rolling out onto an Even cheat sheet size pastry mat or flat bottomed baking dish greased
3 ingredients + water, 20 minute cook time
2. Chicken Dog Treats / Kol’s Notes
These chicken-filled goodies will make your pup go wild! All you need is some diced meat or cooked rice, 3 tablespoons of flour (rice or soy), parsley for flavor if desired plus one egg. You can sub in any typeyabruter ingredient that’s handy but don’t forget about those extra bits found inside every bird—they’re yummy too :)
3. Easy Two-Ingredient Dog Treats / Dog-Milk
For a newbie like me, this was so easy! I had never made treats for our dogs before but now that they are hooked on them it won’t be long until there’s no more organic whole wheat flour in sight. You only need two ingredients – 2 cups of flour and pureed baby food (I found my dogs loves blueberry beef sweet potato). together these make up one delicious recipe ready to give as gifts or serve yourself with some homemade goodies at home..
Two ingredient dog treats: 20-25 minute cook time.
4. Homemade Dog Biscuits / Kitchen Confidante
These homemade dog biscuits are one of my favorite things to make. You’ll need whole wheat flour, oats and flaxseed meal for the recipe but if you don’t have any cookie cutters around I found this method that worked really well: just use toothpicks or shot glasses as shapes!
Five ingredients dog treats, 20 minute cook time.
5. Sweet Potato Fries for Dogs / Beagles and Bargains
Homemade dog treats can be a delicious way for both you and your pup to get in some of their daily vegetable servings. For this recipe, all that’s needed is sweet potato (or any other veggie), coconut oil with cinnamon spice mixed into it as well as turmeric powder! You’ll find these homemade goodies are simple enough with just one ingredient: vegetables!!
Your dog will love these delicious treats – and you’ll love knowing that you made them with your own two hands!
